Just finished running the Color Me Rad 5k this morning!
The run wasn’t even timed or anything, but strapping on that race bib definitely brought me back to my high school cross country days.
It was pretty rainy and cold, but nothing that a little splash of color couldn’t fix :)

I went to my first Wisconsin football game yesterday!
Though it was pretty chilly for early October, it was awesome being a part of the sea of red in the stadium. The game was a little slow in the first half, but it picked up in the second half and we beat Illinois 31-14.
My favorite part was being in the student section for the trademark Jump Around at the start of the fourth quarter. Everyone was just bouncing to the music and having a good time. Check out this video for a sample of what it was like.
Doing all the cheers and just the general party atmosphere of the student section reminded me of going to Cal football games. It kind of felt like college again.
The leaves started falling this week, and with it came an amazing change in scenery.
All around the area and along the drive to work, leaves are every shade of red, orange, and yellow. The explosion of color looks pretty great and definitely makes the cooling temperatures more bearable.
I never really noticed the seasons as much back home in the Bay Area. But out here in the Midwest, all four of them can be quite distinct.
I’m definitely going to enjoy these beautiful Autumn leaves while they last :)
