“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something in your life.”
-Winston Churchill
Of the many interesting people I’ve come across in my life, I know I have some enemies.
Thanks for arguing with me, fighting me, pushing me to stand up for what I believe in.
Sometimes, enemies can do what friends do.
I haven’t been impressed by the Asian food offerings in Madison, and have been craving the good stuff pretty badly for a while. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese… you name it, I crave it.
So I’ve been getting after my Bay Area Asian food fix early and often since coming home. Already have had dim sum twice and more Chinese food. Plan to hit the other cuisines too.
Home is where the stomach is.
I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited for a trip as I was flying home yesterday.
It’s only been about two months since I moved to Wisconsin, but the actual process of picking everything up and finding a new home half way across the country felt a little sudden.
That’s not to say I haven’t enjoyed the experience. I think I’ve adjusted well and have learned so much through my move, but nothing compares to going home sweet home. Back in the Bay, I’m just so happy to see family, friends, everyone.
En route, I had a long layover in Minneapolis, but when I went to my transfer gate, I looked around and saw the most diverse group of people I’ve seen in two months… Yup, I must have been at the right gate to San Francisco :) As I was waiting to board my flight , I felt halfway home already.
