Cherish the Weekend
2010 July 10
From working 45-hour weeks this summer, I’ve learned to truly cherish the weekend.
Sometimes, there’s nothing better than a nice, lazy day on the couch with a good book to read.
Or just hanging out and playing board games with friends late into the night.
It really takes out the stress from a packed work week.

Settlers of Catan! I haven’t played that in a long time!
But yes, weekends are pretty much it when you’re working. You think you might be able to do something on weeknights, but it’s too exhausting. After last summer, I had a newfound respect for how my mom used to come home after work after commuting 1-2 hours each way and still had the energy to make dinner, help me with homework, and play with me.
My weekends fly by fast….I really sometimes wonder where it goes
Wake up early, sleep early, repeat.
How’s the job? Sounds like a long week. Camp K soon?
The internship’s going great! I’m learning so much about the health care system and how many people and things are involved in making it go. The hours are longer than anything I’ve ever been used to, but I’m enjoying the experience.
Camp Kesem is August 16-21, less than a month away! :)
