Little Rock, Arkansas

2014 November 25
by Stanley Quan

Ventured into the South for work once again, this time to Little Rock.

The two instances I remembered the city for were the Little Rock Nine (desgregation of schools) or Bill and Hillary Clinton’s residence there for when Bill was the Governor of Arkansas for 12 years before becoming President.

I didn’t really get a chance to explore history, but did read about the Clintons’ amazing accomplishments on a wall at the airport. What a power couple.

Ate at Flying Fish, where you can bring in your Billy Bass for adoption and get a free basket of catfish. Had fried frog legs and they were pretty great. Not much different from chicken wings.

One thing that always gets me is the deep Southern accent. Heard a lot of it this trip and had to concentrate to understand sometimes haha.

Arkansas is state #36  in the race!
