Inspiration: Be A Dave

2010 September 7

Dave, just a regular guy from Connecticut, a family man, and everyone’s handyman, inspired his community with his helping hands. He is now inspiring many others across the nation to do the same.

Sadly, Dave died of a heart attack at 38 years old, but his generosity helped inspire DaveZillion.com, a handyman’s social networking site that was started in December 2008. “Facebook with productivity involved,” you could say.

It’s an online community that connects neighbors coast-to-coast to help each other with household projects. The company’s mantra is “the best way to get someone to help you with one of your projects is to help someone with their own.”

“The idea is so simple. You’re just lending a hand.”

Dave was just a guy who brought one neighborhood together. Now, he’s doing it for many more.
